parisienne aspirations since 2014

OH BONJOUR

This blog will document my foray into Parisian society, or at the very least, serve the purpose of an online diary to keep a record of my five years in France with my very own Mr. Big. I have always wanted to start a blog but had absolutely no clue what to write about. What fresh anecdotes could I possibly offer to the world! (By world I mean a small number of readers, and by a small number of readers I mean my mum and dad.. Hi Marg and Paul, call me). A friend at work thought I should write a food blog, but that’s just because I’m constantly coercing her to buy chocolate with me. Not to mention most of my baking involves butter; sugar and chocolate (dirty eating), and I gave myself a bout of salmonella in my university days. While cooking porridge for dinner one night, my next (fleeting) blog idea came to me. A fashion blog! Parfait! Then I caught sight of myself in a t-shirt with coffee spilled down the front, track pants and a topknot. Yeah… probably not in a position to preach.

So that was my sitch, stuck patiently waiting for inspiration . . . until voilà! inspiration arrived

PARISTHETHIRD shall recount my un-glamorous glamorous day-to-day life in Paris, including the moments I’ve said the wrong thing, (in French or in English), relied on my shocking internal GPS, or choked on a croissant.

Love it Celia. I’m looking forward to reading about all your Parisian adventures (and the odd misadventure?) You’re the cutest Kiwi in France….well except for maybe your Mr Big!

Thank you so much for your comment Lou!! It’s nothing compared to your beautiful site. And I’m definitely going for a 2:1 ratio of misadventure to adventure xx

Well done Lovely. You’ll be the next Tuula Vintage, Paris in Four Months or Garry Pepper Girl before we know it. You’re born for this. Good luck xx

    Hi Celia,

I am a television producer working on the US travel show ‘House Hunters International’. We are looking for English speaking expats who have recently moved to France to feature on our show. I wonder if you might like to share your story?

House Hunters International is a half-hour TV show currently airing on the Home and Garden Television Network (HGTV) in America. The series is designed to de-mystify the international home-buying / renting process, by going behind the scenes of a house hunt where expats and their real estate agents tour 3 homes. At its core, House Hunters International is a travel show concentrating on the idiosyncrasies of the locales and what makes them special and different.

Here is a link to show you what our show is all about!

We would love to film in Paris again so please get in touch if you or any of your contacts might be interested in finding out more!

    Best wishes,

    Michelle
